It’s far from outside of the norm for AMD, and to be fair many other tech companies as well, to revitalise older CPU families with a new release – and it seems the Ryzen 5 7500 will be the latest edition to this roster.
This new edition to the Ryzen 7000 family will allegedly feature 6 cores and a 3.7ghz base clock, according to Roland Quandt from WinFuture.

What makes this quite strange, however, is not only the missing F or X3D nomenclature, these specs are identical to the already existing Ryzen 7500F. The main difference between them is Ryzen 5 7500 non F Roland is discussing will apparently feature integrated graphics.
What’s really weird though, is the price that Roland is stating. If the 230 Euro price is correct, the 7500 non F will be almost double the price than the current unit without integrated graphics. This seems awfully high, but it is very possible that the pricing info here is not accurate. Of course, it’s very possible that it is accurate, and that the pricing is reflecting the current crisis plaguing the PC hardware market.
We will have to wait and see until the official reveal of the Ryzen 5 7500 from AMD on what’s happening with the MSRP, but I think this is just intended to be a slightly more affordable offering on their older gen CPUs while they prepare for the release of Zen 6.
