Ryzen Threadripper Pro 9995WX Just Misses Highest Cinebench HWBOT Score Ever In Leaked Benchmark

Ryzen Threadripper Pro 9995WX, which is part of AMD’s “Shimada Range” was spotted in the HWBOT rankings with a very impressive benchmark uploaded today.

AMD’s Shimada Range Threadripper HEDT CPUs will feature up to 96 cores, with the lower range processors the 9975WX featuring 32 cores and the Ryzen Threadripper 9965WX having 24 cores.

The newly uploaded Cinebench benchmark was uploaded by SkyWalker AMD onto HWBOT, showing off a manually overclocked Threadripper 9995WX cooled with a liquid AIO and cooler (this will be important later).  As you can see below, the rigs specs also include 144GB DDR5 memory and an ASUS Pro motherboard.

The score is very impressive, clocking in at 186800 points on the multi core score, making this benchmark result just 11% below the highest score ever recorded on HWBOT, with it being important to note that the high score was cooled with liquid nitrogen. We can expect to see more about the Zen 5 Threadripper series this week, most likely including official benchmarks across a wider variety of benchmarks, as they are due to launch on July 23rd.

While not the flagship of Zen 5 by any means, I still find Threadripper really interesting and exciting to see – especially when it pulls in such impressive numbers across it’s various generations. Plus, it’s always good to see competition, even if it is in the HEDT market. And if the early benchmarks showed off by AMD last week are any indication, Ryzen Threadripper 9000 will continue that trend.
