Ryzen 9850X3D Listed, Early Price Revealed

We’ve discussed the upcoming AMD Ryzen 9850X3D CPU a few times on the channel, and it seems that retailers are preparing for the upcoming launch in a few weeks.

Recently, we discussed the most recent expected performance numbers, hardware specs and our other insights into both the 9850X3D and the 9950XD2 in the below video.

But for the TL;DW – We are expecting the Ryzen 7 9850X3D to still tout an 8 core config, but with a higher clock speed than the original. Instead, it will clock in at 5.6 Ghz – 400 Mhz higher than the 9800X3D. For a more in depth analysis, check out the video above.

However today brings some fresh leaks, with some retailer listings being spotted by @momomo-us on Twitter. The most interesting part of these listings, however, is the one from Orderflow.ch which lists the 9850X3D for 473.55 CH – a price which is around 20% more expensive than the original.

However, it’s important to remember before you get out the pitchforks and flaming torches that this is preliminary pricing. These early prices have been off the mark many times and should be taken with a huge pinch of salt ™. It’s entirely possible that this is just a placeholder price.

While no official announcement has been made, expectations currently are that AMD will officially unveil the Ryzen 9850X3D at CES 2026. I am very excited to see not only if this is the case, but just what kind of performance improvements we can expect. A big question mark also hangs over the X3D2, so it will be very interesting if both are unveiled on the stage at CES.
