Nvidia Next Gen Rubin GPUs Enter Production, Claims Report

According to the folks over at UDN, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang visited TSMC during a recent trip to Taiwan and he stated that the next gen Rubin GPU has already entered production.

UDN states, “Regarding product and supply chain timing, Jensen Huang pointed out that demand for Blackwell is strong and not just for GPUs. “Nvidia is also manufacturing CPUs, network chips, switches, and many other chips related to Blackwell.” He also revealed that the next-generation Rubin is already entering the production line. “We have already seen Rubin on the production line.” TSMC is working very hard to support the related demand.”

For those that have been paying attention, you may recall that Jensen recently stated that the first Rubin GPUs had been received in the labs – so Rubin has gone from the labs to being allegedly in production in just a few days.

Apparently, TSMC has increased their production of 3nm by a staggering 50% to prepare for Rubin. Apparently, we could see a potential rise in the number of productive 3nm wafers from 100,000 to 160,000 wafers per month – with a not insignificant amount being reserved for Nvidia exclusively.

Now obviously, this isn’t quite mass production just yet. Nvidia already issued a statement regarding this, saying that Rubin GPUs mass production is expected around Q3 2026.

So it is still early days for Rubin, but it seems to far that the development of the highly anticipated next gen Rubin is proceeding as expected, and so far there have been no hiccups to cause delays in production.

This news comes pretty swiftly on the heels of recent rumors that the RTX 50 SUPER graphics cards are cancelled or at least delayed due to a global shortage of 3GB GDDR7 memory modules, alongside some performance and specs leaks for the desktop RTX 60 cards.
