AMD’s FSR Redstone Official Premiere Date Confirmed

While we have seen sneak previews of AMD’s FSR Redstone in official slides from the company and even seen one of it’s features – Machine learning based ray regeneration – showcased in Black Ops 7, AMD have finally confirmed FSR Redstone’s premiere date.

Jack Huynh, the SVP and general manager of the computing and graphics group over at AMD posted a teaser on twitter today which confirmed that FSR Redstone will be premiering on December 10th. What “Premiering” entails is a little murky, I’m still a bit unclear on if the full stack for FSR will also launch on this date or if it will simply be a developer showcase with a formal release date announcement attached.

It’s been some time since AMD first revealed FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 AKA FSR Redstone, so below you can see a handy image which goes over the revealed features so far. At the moment, the only feature touted here that we’ve seen hide nor hair of is the previously mentioned ML ray regeneration.

There have been some interesting reports saying that FSR 4 won’t be an AMD exclusive technology and may even work across Nvidia and Intel GPUs, but we shall have to wait and see until December 10th to find out.
