Being a PC gamer is absolutely the best way to enjoy games in the modern era, not only does PC hardware allow you to crank all of the settings way beyond what any console is capable of, but we can access absolutely massive games libraries, since Sony are porting many of its best games over to PC, and virtually all the first-party Xbox games are now released on PC. As for AAA publishers, they are pushing the PC platform super hard too – all of this is fantastic.
Being a PC gamer is easier than ever, too, with Steam and other platforms providing simple access to your digital library. Nvidia and AMD’s graphics card drivers now allow you to optimize newly installed games automatically. So, if you’re a new to PC gaming, you don’t have to worry about a single setting, but it still provides you full access to tweak and adjust things to your heart’s content.
To that end, I’ve been asked to take a look at one of CyberPowerPC UK’s new systems in a sponsored showcase. I know many regular viewers/readers typically prefer to build their own system. But there are numerous benefits of prebuilds. Not least of which for friends who’re just getting into PC gaming. CyberPowerPC UK’s hardware is put together extremely well, with well-selected parts, and their technical support is just a phone call away.
Another benefit – even for those of us who are super into PC gaming, typically speaking – Prebuilt systems are less affected to pricing variability in the market. And given the memory market right now, it might end up being the better deal (let’s hope things improve on that front, for everyone’s sake, eh?)

Why CyberPowerPC UK and Specs
At the heart of the gaming system I was provided was an MSI GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card, powered by Intel I9-14900K, 32GB of DDR5, and, last but definitely not least, a Samsung 990 Gen 4 NVMe drive. The motherboard is MSI-manufactured MAG Z790 Tomahawk WiFi, and the PSU, case, and Cooler all follow standard designs.
CyberPowerPC UK follows this principle with almost all its systems (it’s a bit harder around laptops for obvious reasons), so if you decide to upgrade your hardware in the future (eg, upgrading your graphics card, or even switching to a new motherboard), you will have the best compatibility possible.
The systems internals has excellent cable management and the layout and position of fans and other components well thought out, with the front and side of the case comprised of a large glass panel, that can be opened up. The vented side panel features 3 fans behind it, pulling air into the system and helping cool both the RTX 5070 and the Fractal AIO (the radiator positioned at the top). There’s also another fan at the system’s rear to ensure air flows correctly. Temps are great, but I’ll talk about that more in a moment.

Cables are neatly routed throughout the system, and the side panel is easily removable with a couple of thumb screws to access the three intake fans for cleaning if needed or for future upgrades to your rig. Further, at the bottom of the case is the PSU, a Corsair 850W, and with a few spare cables tied down, (though more are in the goody bag I’ll get to in a minute).
The top of the case can be slid off with a few twists of the two thumbscrews. With the two side panels open and the top removed, you’ve full access to all the internals of the system to tweak or change things if needed. So if the future sees you need an extra NVMe drive, upgrade to a future generation of GPUs, or do just about anything else, you’re golden.
As I alluded to earlier, CyberPowerPC UK provides a ‘goody bag’ complete with all the unused PSU cables (as the Corsair 850W is a modular design). Additionally, CyberPowerPC UK bundled the unused cooler mounts (in my bag, there are mounts for AMD too, despite the system being outfitted with an Intel CPU and so on. Again, these are nice little touches – sure, most users probably won’t switch CPU brands entirely, but a few might. And the cables – well, those are always welcome.
Unboxing experience
For my testing, my order was handled identically to a standard customer. I was sent a custom PC, and DPD (their courier of choice within the UK) sent me a text the night prior the delivery window, and dutifully delivered their system.
The system arrived in a custom CyberPowerPC UK box, with plenty of packing foam and protection ensuring nothing is damaged or jostled loose during transit. This needs to be removed before use (which is easy enough). One of my cats (Luci) also got interested in the system too!

With the foam removed, setting up the system was simple and quick. Windows 11 comes pre-installed with the latest updates as of the time they ship you the system (the same thing could be said for drivers). For those wondering – yes, the Windows installation is bare bones, no unnecessary bloatware or trials to eat up space or system resources. It’s Windows 11 basic installation for good or bad.
So, all you’re left to do is simply set up your Windows user account, install Steam, and… that’s about it, actually, you’re off to the races.
Benchmarks
For this showcase, we went with a mixture of games and content creation workloads, with games tested at both 1440P and 4K resolution. The Samsung 990 Gen 4 NVMe drive is super fast, so game load times will be snappy, particularly if you’re used to an older NVMe drive. This system also has plenty of horsepower for content creation such as video or photoediting, to I ran a few of those workloads too.
So let’s take a look at some game benchmarks:

The RTX 5070 is fantastic for 1440P gaming, but does a good job at 4K too, if you use Nvidia’s DLSS and tweak settings. I’ve a full review of a Gigabyte RTX 5070 12GB on the channel. The model inside this CyberPowerPC UK is one from MSI; so it performs on par with that card.
If you fancy more grunt, you can easily switch cards to more powerful options from both AMD and Nvidia during the order process, such as the RX 9070XT or even the RTX 5080.

Why a Prebuilt system?
There are many benefits for a prebuilt system: you’re low on time, or lack confidence in putting together a system. But, I suspect that for many of my audience, you don’t fancy being tech support for your friends and family.
Story Time: When I was younger, I’d end up building almost everyone a computer, even friends of friends, because I thought it was fun. Unfortunately, this also led to me being technical support for over a dozen people at once at one point, and the last straw is when I travelled to this dudes house with my friend because his computer didn’t ‘play sound’, and he swore to me he ‘tried everything’ and I found out that his speakers were unplugged from the wall.
Besides, if you’re in a different country fault testing is kinda hard for someone anyway, for example if a system doesn’t POST, and you’re several hours away, it’s not easy to pop to their house with a spare PSU and a few other bits to see if you coax it back to life.
CyberPowerPC UK has a large range of pre-configured gaming desktops, workstations and even laptops. So you can browse based on your different needs and even different types of games such as esports, or high end AAA experiences, or even preconfigured cutting edge work stations.

But, if you fancy tweaking the configuration to a specific need (ie, you need more storage, or prefer a different case), then more power to you. CyberPowerPC UKs also offers a range of other aesthetic tweaks, such as lighting, water cooling and the coloring in the fluid, and even overclocking your system.
It’s important to me that CyberPowerPC UK does, indeed, use standard motherboards and BIOSes, with nothing locked down. With the gaming PC I was sent, for example, the motherboard is a normal MSI MAG Z790 Tomahawk, and you can go in and tweak the CPU yourself, adjust memory timings and so on. Obviously, CyberPowerPC UK does provide general defaults – but for power users, you can tweak to your heart’s desire.
