Silent Hill F Early Review Scores VERY Impressive As Launch Trailer Drops

After many years of drought, us Silent Hill fans are finally eating good. Last year Bloober treated us to the Silent Hill 2 remake, and this year we see the first new mainline title in a long time – Silent Hill F.

In my opinion, Silent Hill F has looked very promising in the initial reveal and all the trailers, with the familiar eerie atmosphere and weird and wonderful monster designs that we all know and love. And of course, horror manga author Ryukishi07 being involved really got my hopes up. With the paid early access giving gamers access on September 23rd, naturally the reviews for the game have started going live with some very impressive scores.

It seems that, judging from these scores, Konami may have finally broken their Silent Hill curse. Some fans have raised concerns about the game being set in Japan, and whether or not this is “really a Silent Hill game” but I think it was more than time for the series to move away from the titular town in order to feel fresh. Besides, it’s not as if there’s anything special in the lore about Silent Hill itself – it was just a town before all the cult shenanigans happened. I see no reason why something similar can’t happen elsewhere.

Plus, we also got a launch trailer ahead of the game’s launch on September 25th (or 23rd, if you’re a digital deluxe gamer). I can’t wait to get stuck in and see exactly what Konami has in store for us with the newest edition to the Silent Hill franchise.
