A concerning update was shared today on the Board Channels forums, which has been the source for many leaks and rumours over the last few years. According to the post, Nvidia is reducing the supply of the cards and memory bundles needed for the RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti.
As I’m sure you recall, both the RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti ship with a rather measly 8GB of memory, and while these cards were never expected to sell gangbusters by Nvidia it seems that the sales were even less than expected. Nvidia only has a certain about of capacity for production, so if this post is accurate, these GPUs will be seeing their supply reduced and reallocated to more popular graphics cards.
According to the post, which you can see below, the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB will have a supply reduction of 15%, but the RTX 5060 will see an eye watering 30% reduction in supply. Of course, these models weren’t exactly flying off the shelves so while this won’t affect the GPU market it could indicate even further that Nvidia does have an RTX 50 SUPER line of cards waiting in the wings.
