GPU Price Hike Incoming in 2026, Warns PowerColor

Yesterday we discussed in our video that a leaked AMD memo heavily suggested that we will be seeing a huge surge in GPU prices due to the increasing graphics memory prices, which is seeing a up to 30% price increase alongside the DDR5 memory pricing which is also skyrocketing.

Today, following on from this, we have a very interesting Reddit post from a PowerColor representative which warns potential buyers of the upcoming price increases expected for GPUs.

As you can see, the rep hints at some discounts coming this weekend but also states that we can expect the prices to surge by the beginning of 2026 – warning gamers to pick up their graphics cards by the end of the year. Now, obviously, while PowerColor is one of AMD’s key partners we have no way of knowing if this will only apply to PowerColor or to all AMD cards but it seems way more likely to me this will be across the board.

This coming on the heels of all the previous leaks, and then the alleged leaked AMD memo, plus just the general trends we’re seeing in DDR5 memory prices and memory in general lead me to believe that 2026 is going to be another painful year for PC gamers.
