AMD have been busy over the last few days, as they have announced a new range of CPUs such as the Ryzen 7 9700F and Ryzen 5 9500F and a bunch of Ryzen PRO CPUs.
Let’s begin with the Ryzen 9700F and 9500F, which were introduced yesterday by AMD. As you can see below, the 9700F is an 8 core processor with a 3.8 Ghz base clock and a 5.5 Ghz boost clock and the graphics disabled. The 9500F, however, features 6 cores and while it has the same base clock of 3.8 Ghz, the boost is limited to 5 Ghz.
But today they had more up their sleeve, as they also refreshed the Ryzen pro series which is aimed at business PCs, workstations and so on, and are not intended for gaming. They revealed three Ryzen PRO SKUs, the Ryzen 9 Pro 9945, the Ryzen 7 Pro 9745, and Ryzen 5 Pro 9645.
The specs for these SKUs are as follows:
Ryzen 9 Pro 9945: 12 cores, 24 threads, 3.4 Ghz base clock and 5.4 Ghz boost
Ryzen 7 Pro 9745: 8 cores, 16 threads, 3.8 Ghz base clock and 5.4 Ghz boost
Ryzen 5 Pro 9645: 6 cores, 12 threads, 3.9 Ghz base clock and 5.4 Ghz boost
Naturally, all three of these new Pro SKUs are based on the Zen 5 architecture. AMD also helpfully provided some benchmarks in Cinebench, Passmark and Blender, showing some pretty impressive numbers when compared to several different Intel SKUs.
